![]() Legion's implementation has much more going for it than XCOM's. XCOM's characters don't really have much defining them outside of their class, and you can change everything else in their appearance. You're making it seem like the Legion mechanic is so similar to XCOM but it's not. Look at the amount of voice acting involved, all of the programming and GD data entry and QA that went into this one feature. I don't blame anyone for trying that out, I'm happy that a big AAA game tried something different and interesting, but I just don't see where it's really about execution rather than not being worth the effort. Something that sounds ultra cool, that feels smart, all that, but it doesn't end up being good for the game.įact of the matter is, maybe if this was a total sandbox (then again in that case GTA online kinda has that) it would work, but watch dogs is a game with a story and it's hard to tell a story when you don't have an idea of who's involved and that person can change every other mission. But it feels like a game designer's game design mechanic. Not in the sense that it isn't cool to think about, it's amazing to think about. Honestly, I'm ready to call it a bad mechanic. /r/GamePhysics - Clips of game physics shining and glitchingĭesign based on /r/FlatBlue created by /u/creesch./r/gaming4gamers - middle ground between purely-for-fun and more serious subreddits./r/GamingLeaksAndRumours - Leaks and Rumors.Posting unmarked spoilers will result in removal and warning, and posting spoilers with malicious intent will result in a ban.
